For the environment

We can not hold an event as big as “Wasedasai2007” without considering the environment and waste problem. We, “Wasedasai2007” Management Staff aim towards an “Environmentally friendly Gakuensai” and are working to reduce the amount of garbage as much as possible.

Separation
The first step to reducing garbage is separating it. Last year with the help of the participating groups and visitors, we separated the garbage in to 9 types. At “Waseasai2007” we are again preparing original garbage cans and will advise how to separate the garbage on the twodays. We ask you to enjoy the separating and doing something good for the environment as a part of “Wasedasai2007”
In addition we will recycle the wood that had been treated as waste until last year.

We will again have the garbage separated into 9 types, most of which will be recycled

• plastics
• can/bottles→construction material etc.
• pet-bottles→pen, clothes etc.
• eco plates
• paper cups→paper
• disposable chop sticks→wooden furniture
• recycle paper→toilet paper
• food waste→biomass power generation
• other burnable

“other burnable” is last on the list as we think it is a last resort. Garbage that only becomes ash should be kept to as little as possible and we work towards the possibility of recycling.
